For those who have loaded the National Geographic WildCam (live feed from a watering hole in Botswana) I think we sould list when we see some good stuff!!

Keep in mind that it's MUCH better to watch during their daytime. (It gets night there around 12:00 eastern time.) The daytime footage is in color and the night footage is in black and white and it's pretty dim.

I used to watch Africam webcams (there are several of them, all on different locations), but this is much better with a live streaming video.

I watched the elephants, mostly saw their butts, but it was fun showing it to my niece and nephew who were visiting

Last night at about 10:30 MST we saw a herd of elephants coming to drink. Two small ones in the group. 10pm our time is 7am their time and that works out for some really good viewing.
I would really love to see a giraffe!

It looks like you get color from about midnight eastern until about 11:00 eastern. Since it's now summer in the Sothern Hemisphere - the days should be getting longer until December - so you should have expanded "color" moving into our winter.

I saw a herd of elephants earlier today. They were beautiful. The babies were really cute. They were playing in the sand. Smile
Also saw some gazell.

The only thing I got to see today was Fatty the crocodile (and that was only because Brian sent me an IM to tell me). I got so busy at work that by the time I remembered to check - it was already dark.

I may have to set my alarm to wake up in the middle of the night. You are all seeing much better animals than I am!!

ddoll, click on 'species checklist' on the left-actually it is better to right click and open in a new window, that way you can go back and forth. You can see facts about each animal and play small videos to make sure it's what you see.

Very windy at Pete's Pond today at 11am our time, just some helmeted guinea fowl and perhaps a crocodile laying on the edge of the water, but I'm not sure-could be a branch!
