I admit to purchasing all of the major tabloids on a weekly basis.

A guilty pleasure and a bunch of crap, I know... but I suppose it won't hurt anyone.

Look, I pay my taxes without whining, I'm nice to people. kids, dogs, and old folks like me... so whats the harm?

Anybody else?

(Plaese note that this is not to be construed as a discussion on Hollywood culture, the movies, morality, politics, or anything else. Just a simple question, so keep your pants on)

Certain tabloids have been known to jump into my shopping cart while checking out at the grocery store or drug store......don't know how they get there Shocked

It is interesting, harmless fun for the most part. A great distraction from the mundane happenings of everyday people like me!

I can honestly say that I've never bought one. My MIL on the other hand buys them weekly, so I won't say that I've never read them.

I don't buy them, but I do read the covers with fascination when standing in line at the grocery store.

If there is one laying around the office, I'll definitely pick it up and take a peek. It's like a train wreck. You know you shouldn't look...but you just can't help yourself.

I especially love when they do the best/worst dressed editions. They are really entertaining!

Dahling, I will on occasion buy one of those "Alien baby from Mars found to be living in Idaho" mags or "Tree had man entombed for 30 years and he survived living on sap". The more ridiculous the headline, the more likely I am to buy. I get these for my son who laughs himself silly over the stories. Thanks for the idea for a stocking stuffer!

Every now and then, if I get lucky, I will find a National Inquirer at the hosp in the waiting room and I will settle in for an amusing read.

I can honestly say I have never bought one. I read the covers to pass the time in the check out lines. My aunt and great aunt get them, but I have never actually opened one.

I've never bought one, but the one woman I used to work with bought them all, and even the ones teasing her the loudest about it, read them cover to cover. LOL In a way, the nuttiest ones are more honest about it than say the Enquirer. I mean, who actually believes that there's a possessed alien monkey boy out there? Wink

These days, I just read the headlines in the checkout line.

I can also say honestly I have never purchased one. I like everyone else can't help but glance at the cover, but just snicker and leave it at that.

Never bought one and frankly, wish they would designate one of the checkouts as a "safe" haven and eliminate all tabloids and sugared crap. My kids are older, but still both are the topic of too many conversations at the grocery store!

Nope, but i do look at photos and read headlines.. I've seen the National Inquirer guy on talk shows a few times...they seem to be the one whose scoop may have a grain of truth to it... May have...

Now what I lOVE are the real with no make up looking pics.... sorry but it is nice to see what make up actually does and how these stars are truly real people. Wink

I agree totally, Sharon dahling. I love to see the stars without make up and in a swimsuit. Shocked You ever see a picture of Goldie Hawn without makeup and in a swimsuit? Shocked OMG! She is so wrinkled and flabby I can't believe it. All I can say is her make up artist should get a award.

Nope...I remember hearing that people were lobbying for them...likely on a US station...but nothing in this neck of the woods.

No candy, no tabloids...what in the world would I do with all that time in line!!!

Actually, that sounds like a good idea (all joking aside). I'm sure there are many parents who would prefer their children not be exposed to sugar and/or tabloids.

Here in the Commonwealth of Virginia (Home of Presidents), we have "No Candy, No Tabloid" lines at many of our supermarkets.

Dahling, here in duller than dust Michigan we also have no candy, no tabloid lines. Neither was a problem for me though. My kid loved the tabloids and he didn't care much for candy. Hard to believe, eh? Nothing like a 3 year old reading the tabloids out loud and laughing to turn a head or two. Laughing
